The main difference between adaptogens and nootropics is that adaptogens help support what we need in our bodies, whereas nootropics feed the mind. Adaptogens hear what your body is calling for and support it against various stressors like high blood pressure, anxiety, and fatigue. Nootropics on the other hand are like little brain boosters with the ability to increase memory, productivity and overall thinking power! In some cases, certain ingredients can have the benefits of both which is pretty freakin’ cool.

Say it with me, “ee”...“lee”...“you”...“thero.” Luckily the benefits to this one are not as confusing as its name. Sometimes referred to as Siberian Ginseng the plant’s benefits include its ability to boost immunity, and increase endurance. The roots of this plant are where all the goodness is and that’s exactly what we use in our blends.
When you first heard about natural nootropics, did you think caffeine would be on that list? Well it is! Our caffeine comes from our black and green tea leaves and is able to activate the digestive tract to eliminate toxins from the body. It also provides mental stimulation by sensitizing your brain's neurons which is mad-cool.
Cordyceps are widely known for being incredibly versatile and boasting a wide variety of benefits. Its ability to battle fatigue and increase blood and oxygen flow make it a powerful antioxidant. The question we really should be asking about this one is, is there anything it can’t do?
(Go-too Koh-lah) Gotu Kola is a funky herb that’s been around for thousands of years. It kind of looks like cilantro but cooler…if that makes sense. It was commonly used in Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese medicine to improve blood circulation. Yogis often used the herb to improve meditation and provide balance to the mind and crown chakra.
(El-thee-anine)This is the natural nootropic and amino acid found most commonly in green tea leaves. Who would’ve thought green tea leaves would be so much more than what meets the eye. Its benefits include helping to reduce stress and anxiety. Its ability to quickly reach your brain and start working its magic is what makes it so rad.
ADAPTOGEN + NOOTROPIC
Some call this the golden root and we totally get it. This herb is ridiculously resilient as it grows in the cold climates and mountainous regions of Russia and Asia. Many studies have shown this herb to have anti-fatigue and anti-depressive properties. However, its main super power is its ability to increase concentration and mental performance.
This berry packs a pretty major punch. Its name means “the fruit of five tastes” which refers to its benefits to the 5 integral organs in the body according to Traditional Chinese Medicine(liver, heart, pancreas, lungs, and kidneys). We’ve added it to our blends for its ability to increase energy, and mental endurance. It’s small, but definitely mighty.
Relax + Unwind 🌙
Ashwagandha is like the smooth talker of the group, it just has a way of making you feel great. This herb is traditionally found in the Ayurveda traditional medicine practices of India. The root of the plant is what we use in our blends as it is the nutrient dense and filled with the most love. It’s best known for its ability to reduce anxiety and lower cortisol levels.
Reishi is huge in size, and benefits. *Insert whatever size joke that just popped into your head here.* This mushroom’s roots date way back as it was commonly used in traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean medicine. It’s best known for its immunity boosting qualities. It’s not a magic mushroom per say, but it’s pretty magical to us.
Valerian root has been used for centuries and is even noted in ancient Greek texts as a remedy for insomnia. Research indicates that this is because of the roots ability to tap into one of the mind's main sedative neurotransmitters known as gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). So if the Valerian root could sing, we believe it would be nothing but sweet lullabies.

Our tea boxes are made from eco-friendly paper fibers and printed with safe inks which make them easy to properly dispose of. Pick your bin and let nature do the rest of the work.
